Week 1: Lot's of Work & Faith The Results Will Come

This week has been a challenging one. No one said change is easy. While I've maintained a solid workout strategy, I haven't always been clear on my nutritional goals. At times, I've been extreme and done damage to my metabolism. As a younger woman, I enjoyed too many treats and got away without weight gain. Now, in the second half of my forties, what I eat matters, and I haven't fully figured out how my body responds to my nutrition. I've cut back on sweets this week while still enjoying protein and healthier carbs. I've missed the mark on my greens and veggies, a bit. Hydration has been good!
I'm rounding out the week with a cold (thank you to my sixth graders who haven't figured out how to sneeze in their elbows just yet). My mindset is still optimistic, but there aren't numbers or images that show improvement yet.
Still, this is where the change happens- this is where we have to get quiet, and patient and whisper into our own heart that we are worth it and we can do it.
