July Newsletter: Building on a Strong Core and Set the Stage for an Active Autumn

This summer has been enriching as I've seen you, my clients, put in the time and energy to strengthen your bodies, uplift your spirit, and enhance your health. Kudos to all of you for regularly scheduling appointments and keeping them, dialing in your nutrition, and allowing yourself the flexibility needed to enjoy the activities of the sunnier seasons. As life likes to do, there are always challenges with starting a new routine and maintaining fitness is another one that is sometimes met with obstacles. If you should struggle with changes that make it difficult to stick to your plans, I am here to help you find your way back to wellness! The sooner you can let go of grief, shame and doubt connected to a challenge, the better off you will be!


In anticipation of one of those challenging times for many people, I have created a new option for those who face extra busy-ness with the Autumn season. Activate in Autumn is an exciting opportunity to shift into shorter, more efficient workouts that continue to utilize the tailored approach of a personal trainer 2x per week, and also continue the progress with two short, complimentary sessions pre-recorded for your use independently. All workouts will be about 20 minutes each.



There are three levels. Each is its own, separate program. However, if you start at one level, you can continue on to the next by registering for that new level. You can also repeat a level and continue receiving live sessions (online or in studio) as you did before.


Who is this meant for? You might be a good fit for this if you are concerned that increased time demands might pose a threat to your exercise routine and you'd prefer to shorten the workouts but still get a great session. If you are someone who likes to workout but needs the accountability and push of a personal trainer, this is a great hybrid form of online and live sessions.


Level 1: Base: From a strong foundation, we can build a beautiful house. The base level is best for those who may be brand new to working out, starting again after a long break, recovering from an injury (with doctor permission), or for those who are postpartum, more senior, or have other reasons to rebuild basic movement patterns, balance, and stability before adding higher intensity cardio. Many people are nervous to start something new- worried it will be awkward, hurt, or be embarrassing. Level 1: Base will help people ease into movement in an empowering way that focuses on strengths.


Level 2: Fitness is a great program for the majority of people. It focuses on toning, strengthing, and improving your mobility. There will be HIIT segments or workouts that allow you to tone muscles as you improve your cardiovascular system. Independent workouts that are pre-recorded will be mostly based on low to no equipment moves. Some bands and light weights will be helpful. Live sessions with the trainer can still take place in the studio, if preferred by the client, and can include challenging weights for musculoskeletal development. Movements will be simple to complex- building on one movement as you progress through the program. This is a full-body system!


Level 3: Performance: Hit the ground running with more complex movement patterns to tone more than one muscle group at a time, and more intense cardio training. Load, power, and agility will be added to this program to give you an intense workout in a short period of time. Participants can use this as a stand-alone program for maintenance of current fitness or, in addition to their sports and fitness training to add power and momentum. Consider this challenging program if you are low on time and high on motivation, but would like a personal trainer to push you and support

you at the same time! All programs start September 1st. Registration is now open!
