Many, many great spiritual teachers explain that gratitude is the great multiplier of good in our life. If you want to change your vibes and feel better- to attract more in the law of attraction- look around you and see everything with the eyes of a grateful heart.
From the sun shining on the green grass to the five cents you saved on gas, there is always something to be grateful for. As we begin to see and feel the joy in writing down our gratitude or acknowledging it- we can take it a step further. As we progress, we can start to flip the neutral parts of life and even the negative into something worth cheering for.
For example, that car accident could have been a reminder to slow down- not just the foot on the gas pedal, but the metaphorical gas pedal in life. We get injured and realize that we stubbed our toe three times to remind us to watch our step in the decision making process. We thank the rain for the flowers and the sulky child (ok, that was my life yesterday) for reminding us that what is most important is helping our child to feel loved and grateful her or himself. Our other work can be put aside for the moment for the real work in life.
So, at the end of today, we are going to be writing down the biggest list of things we can be grateful for. We are going to be aware that messages exist for us and guide us all the time. Opening our heart to gratitude is the key to shifting our energy- to showing more love- to attracting more goodness.
I started a journal for all of this, maybe it's a good idea for you to do the same? Download all your joys by the bedside and rest well tonight. This might be a practice we keep!
