![]() I love my jobs. I love to write, to teach, to create and to grow. I spend a lot of time in professional development- downloading and reading books like they are a 6th food group- an essential part of my diet. I digest them, I apply them, then I try to make them my own and share them all in some creative way. Sometimes, I stop and ask myself... to take stock. If I am constantly driving myself toward something... am I also taking time to enjoy the ride? The space between where we are going and where we are now- that's the actual life we live. Am I grateful and present enough? Am I grounded enough? Am I laughing enough? Loving deeply enough? Imagine driving to a vacation destination and never looking out the window or taking in the sites, sounds, smells and conversation in the car. What if life is just like that... we suddenly arrive and realize we were a zombie the entire way to that place, sure, it might be paradise we arrive at, but what will the quality of the memories be along the way? What relationships will be strong enough for us to share the paradise with? Today, I was inspired by the idea of grounding myself. Today, I will work hard to make space for the literal tomorrow, but I also want to plan in my quality time with my family and friends. I want to be present, grounded and grateful. My oils are diffusing and rubbed on the bottoms of my feet. Check out the images below. The first, is a beautiful diffuser blend to help aid you in grounding yourself emotionally. The second is a link to a short and amazing article on the DoTerra Blog. It gives some clear suggestions for developing habits that will support your abilities to be present, grounded and grateful. I will be applying those ideas for sure. How do you ground yourself in today so you don't get lost in building your future? Doterra's blog has tips for creating a more centered you. The image below will bring you to the doterra blog...
