Sleep... Better...

Picture
At bedtime, the first thing we do in our house is prepare the bath and the diffuser. Sleep routines are so important to the health of our families. Right now, it's really hard to wind down our brains... so having a plan at bedtime when you might be frazzled is a good thing.

We used to say, "It's time for the four Bs: Bath, Brush Your Teeth, Books and Bed." We have far better results now that we have essential oils on hand in our house.

We didn't throw out the routines, we enhanced it. What goes in the bath? I make a huge batch of Epsom salts mixed with fractionated coconut oil, baking soda and essential oils. It makes the water so soft and fragrant. If you have sore muscles, lemongrass, eucalyptus and copaiba will help you breathe, cleanse and relieve the pain. For sleep, add some serenity. Your skin won't even need lotion afterward.

As the bath runs, we fill the diffuser and dim the lights in the boy's rooms. In the diffuser.. PK has allergies and I have found that using lemon, lavender and peppermint at night has helped him avoid the Ceterizine and Benadryl plus the two different inhalers he usually needs. Petey loves any combination of lavender, serenity, frankincense, vetiver, Onguard and Breathe or eucalyptus.

We roll serenity, balance or vetiver on the feet or up and down our spines after the bath to ground us and help us relax. Rollers are easy to make by combining fractionated coconut oil or another choice oil with your favorite oils.

I've been using Serenity gel caps and an Adaptiv gel caps to support restful sleep for myself and PK and Patty like Copaiba to help them doze off.

There are so many good options that are natural and addiction free- all effective in helping to support rest- if you're struggling, let me know and we can customize a plan for you!

Love,
LeeAnn
